In 1980, when computers and other sensitive electronic
systems were just beginning to take hold Stephen Kluchenek, the
founder of SEPS, Inc. realized the need for reliable power protection. It
was this realization and a little foresight that led Mr. Kluchenek
to work with a manufacturer of power systems to create the first,
cost-effective, reliable emergency power system.
His reputation and persistence won him an opportunity with a major
food chain to install a test unit in one of their stores. The resulting
success inspired Mr. Kluchenek to start SEPS, Inc. with a vision
to serve power quality needs.
